Founded in 1943 by Walter R. Baker, Baker Insurance Agency of Hagerstown, Maryland is a locally owned family business. Baker Insurance Agency was purchased by Lauren E. Baker in 1975. He served as President and worked in the agency for 50 years, retiring in 2005. Today the agency is owned and operated by the family’s third generation, Michael T. Baker and Lori A. (Baker) Gardenhour.
